Graphic design is the discipline of creating and combining symbols, images, words and photography to visually communicate ideas and messages to the public. Graphic design often refers to both the process of designing and the products that are created.  Some examples of these products are:  a companies logo,  business cards, brochures, direct mail, signage, magazine layout, product packaging, advertisements, websites, banner ads, manuals…the scope of products is endless.

ALL companies need graphic design. A good way to think of it would be – any piece of material that is used to convey a message about or from a company needs a critical thought pattern. Starting with the concept, moving to the layout of the information, continuing to making the piece visually pleasing and finally producing the final piece. There is always the need to have visual material to communicate what a business does, sells, teaches or offers, whether to the public or internally to its employees, it has to exist.
